HT Glass Columns

    High Temperature Stability

    YMC HT is designed for high temperature applications. The column is specified up to 70 °C which makes it the first choice for purifications under elevated temperatures. All components are extremely robust and stable for long-term usage with high temperatures.

    For All Type of Resins

    YMC HT is dedicated for all common separation modes in BioLC that require elevated temperatures - especially for the purification of oligonucleotides using AEX, RP or HIC. YMC HT is compatible with all these types of separations and the resins used for these processes.

    Optimal Flow Distribution

    The frit technology used with YMC HT allows an optimal flow distribution. This leads to great packing results and chromatographic performance. The frits can easily be replaced for a long-term usage of YMC HT.

    Glass Tempering Jacket

    The tempering jacket of YMC HT is made of glass. This enables reliable tempering of the column during the process. Additionally, full organic solvent compatibility provides an efficient cleaning of the tempering jacket.

    Accessories for YMC HT columns

    Packing Adapters

    Packing adapters are used if the packing method requires additional column volume during the packing process. More volume than given by the column alone may be required when the column is packed with the slurry method. A suspension of material and packing solvent in a concentration of approximately 30 - 50% is used, depending on the packing material. The additional packing solvent above the finished column bed will be removed later but during the packing process the packing adapter gives the additional volume which is required for this method.

    The ECO and YMC HT series packing adapters consist of a column coupler and an empty glass body. The packing adapter is installed as follows:

    • Remove the upper end piece from the column body.
    • Put the counter screw of the coupling unit on the column body. Take care that just the blue column coupler snap ring is included.
    • Install the end piece on top of the glass body of the packing adapter.

    Column Stands

    For optimum positioning next to your system, YMC offers column stands for YMC HT glass columns. Due to the reliable and handy design, setting up the column was never faster and easier. No tools are required for secured fixation!

     

    Your advantages are:

    • Stands for 25 and 50 mm ID
    • High stability: Screwed in feet for secure grip
    • Perfect alignment: The feet are equipped with leveling feet

    Handling Loop

    This tool helps you to open and to close YMC glass columns. The Handling Loop is universally applicable to all available inner diameters.

    • Simplified opening of glass columns
    • Universally applicable
    • Easy grip especially with larger inner diameters

    Adapter for 10-32 fitting

    YMC have specifically designed an adapter to allow easy connection of YMC glass columns to ÄKTA systems. This adapter will allow direct connection of the 10-32 fittings of the ÄKTA systems to the inlets and outlets of YMC glass columns.

    This adapter is compatible to all existing YMC glass columns with internal diameters between 10 to 50 mm and can be ordered as a pack of 2 pieces.
