New chiral applications for fungicides applying CHIRAL ART Cellulose-SZ

USP & ICH compliant UHPLC transfer of Esomeprazole analysis

Are you looking to adapt your pharmacopeia HPLC methods to UHPLC? Then, this detailed description of an USP method adaption using Esomeprazole as an example should catch your attention!

The United States Pharmacopeia (USP) and the International Harmonization of Pharmacopoeias (ICH) allow changes in LC parameters so that system suitability requirements for UHPLC are fulfilled. This Tech Note describes time-saving advantages of using UHPLC for the USP analysis of Esomeprazole Magnesium. The only requirement needed is a column line that provides the same selectivity across different particle sizes. It allows the easy method transfer from HPLC to UHPLC.

Improving the UHPLC separation of fatty acid methyl ester isomers by column coupling

Do you analyse similar substances using UHPLC? Are you looking for a simple way to improve your resolution?
This application note shows how to separate methyl linolenate and methyl γ-linolenate using two coupled YMC-Triart C18 ExRS UHPLC columns. By using only one column with a typical maximum length of 150 mm the substances could not be fully separated. Using an extended separation length by coupling two columns can easily solve this issue in the absence of longer UHPLC columns.
