Improve peak shape and efficiency
in your Ph. Eur. methods
Are you working with methods derived from monographs of the European Pharmacopoeia (Ph. Eur.)?
Are you experiencing peak shape distortions for early eluting compounds or do you want to increase efficiency of your separation?
In some methods derived from the Pharmacopoeia the stipulation of a specific injection solvent can lead to issues with peak shape and a reduced sensitivity for some or all compounds analysed. With a custom injection program, you can overcome this hurdle and still be conform to Pharmacopoeia guidelines. Your gain will be a higher chance to achieve your system suitability criterions and a more reproducible and robust analysis.
Download our new Expert Tip for an easy solution for distorted peaks in HPLC methods of the European Pharmacopoeia and benefit from more reproducible results.

The best chiral column for each separation:
CHIRAL ART columns
Although chiral chromatography is effective in measuring optical purity and resolution, suitable columns are hard, if not impossible to predict. Method screening leads to the most suitable CHIRAL ART out of six chiral phases. Currently, four immobilised and two coated chiral selectors are available – but there is more to come soon! With the most promising combination of chiral stationary phase and eluent, further method development will lead to the final method.
Challenging separation of isomers: Analysis of chlorophenols
Are you looking for a RP-(U)HPLC column that is able to solve this task for you?
In this application note, several chlorophenols with different substitution pattern are separated from each other. The various compounds in this group differ only in the amount and/or position of the chlorine substituents. By using YMC’s most hydrophobic C18 column, YMC-Triart C18 ExRS, a baseline separation of all compounds is possible! The extremely high carbon content of this unique U(H)PLC phase enables steric recognition and allows full flexiblity due to a broad pH- (1-12) and temperature range (up to 90°C).
