Reliable IEX Analyses of MAbs with Superior Reproducibility
IEX is a widely used standard in Bio QC of monoclonal antibodies. However, one of the crucial requirements for any QC method is a reliable lot-to-lot reproducibility. Unlike many other IEX columns on the market including widely used “standard” ones, YMC’s BioPro IEX columns provide excellent lot-to-lot reproducibility together with superior resolution. These features make them a first choice for Bio QC!
Find out more about YMC’s BioPro IEX columns either in the BioLC section of our homepage or download your copy of the YMC BioLC catalogue covering all topics concerning IEX.
Poster: The Principles of Biochromatography
This poster shows the main HPLC modes for Biochromatography (IEX, SEC, RP and HIC) and explains their principles.
The YMC column recommendations are not only presented by the different modes, but also by the substance classes: proteins/peptides, antibodies and oligonucleotides/nucleic acids.

Why it is not only the Right Vial that Plays an Important Role…?
You also need to consider the choice of septum and the correct fastening. The sealing between cap and septum is also important. Here, important factors to consider before selecting the caps, etc are the design of the autosampler and the chemical properties of the sample.
The septum must provide the optimal sealing so that the sample does not evaporate or become contaminated. Close attention should be directed to the material of the septum with specific regard to the chemical resistance, hardness, purity and temperature stability of the septum to ensure the correct material is selected. In addition, would it be sensible to consider the use of a pre-cut septum.
