Online Presentation

Dr Björn Fischer

Develop new spectroscopic coupling detection techniques

In this online presentation, Dr Björn Fischer from the Institute of Pharmaceutical Technology & Biopharmacy at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf gives detailed insights into new spectroscopic developments, especially with regard to coupling with liquid chromatography. The first part of the presentation deals with fluorescence spectroscopy. Here, among other things, the development of a fluorescence detector along an application is presented. In the second part, Raman spectroscopy is discussed and the new developments in this field are shown.

Dr Björn Fischer, Institute for Pharmaceutical Technology & Biopharmacy, Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf

Björn Fischer studied chemistry at the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf. He then completed his doctorate at the Institute of Physical Chemistry with the development of a Raman detector for liquid chromatography. Since 2017, Mr Fischer has been working as a lecturer and project manager at the Institute of Pharmaceutical Technology and Biopharmacy at the University of Düsseldorf, where he heads the "Advanced Analytics" working group. He is also the founder of several companies and serves as managing director of Fischer GmbH and Lico Analytics GmbH. In this context, he performs Raman microscopic measurements as a service provider and deals with new spectroscopic measurement techniques as a developer.
