RP & HILIC combined

Dual HPLC-MS for comprehensive metabolite analysis

A recent publication by Faist et al. demonstrates how different metabolite classes can be efficiently analysed using a dual HPLC-MS setup. The smart combination of parallel RP and HILIC separation significantly increases efficiency while maintaining high analytical performance. For the reliable separation of polar amines, a YMC-Triart Diol-HILIC column was used.

Key highlights:

Simultaneous analysis of different metabolite classes
Stable retention of polar analytes using the YMC-Triart Diol-HILIC colum
37% shorter analysis time
High precision (RSD ≤ 5.8%)

Focus on selectivity

Tanaka parameters of YMC-Triart columns at a glance

How do stationary phases really differ? A look at the Tanaka parameters provides well-founded answers: the YMC poster presents the Tanaka values of all YMC-Triart RP columns and allows their selectivity profiles to be compared directly.

The results clearly show how differences in hydrophobicity, steric selectivity, and polarity can be specifically utilised for method development.

Ideal for anyone looking to make informed decisions when selecting columns and optimising separation methods efficiently.

Reliable enantiomeric separation

The enantioselective separation of complex pharmaceutical compounds is crucial for quality and safety in pharmaceutical analysis. Using the migraine medication rimegepant (Vydura®) as an example, the Application Note demonstrates how a CHIRAL ART Cellulose-SB column enables reliable separation of isomers and diastereomers thanks to its high stereoselective performance.
