mRNA capping efficiency

Precise quality control for the next generation of mRNA therapeutics

The development of successful mRNA therapeutics begins with reliable quality control. Our new application note demonstrates how the bioinert YMC Accura Triart Bio C18 column enables high-resolution separation of capped, partially capped and uncapped mRNA species, even where structural differences are minimal. When combined with LC-MS, users gain a powerful solution for the precise determination of capping efficiency and the identification of critical impurities.

2D-LC-IRMS approach

A recent publication by Rockel et al. demonstrates – for the first time – the isotope-specific analysis of the water-soluble vitamins B5 and B9 in complex dietary supplement and beverage matrices. The innovative Heart-Cutting 2D LC-IRMS method opens up new possibilities for authenticity and origin analyses and expands the scope of application of LC-IRMS technology. The successful implementation of the two-dimensional LC approach is supported by the high chromatographic performance of the YMC Triart C18 column, which enables reliable separation of the target analytes even in challenging matrices.

Highlights of the study:

The first isotope-specific analysis of B vitamins in complex supplement and beverage matrices
Extension of LC-IRMS applicability to polar and water-soluble analytes
  High precision with a repeatability of ≤ 0.13 ‰
Efficient separation of the target analytes using the YMC-Triart C18 column
