Continuously Better

The separation of full and empty capsids remains one of the biggest challenges in AAV purification. A new proof-of-concept study demonstrates how a continuous MCSGP process, combined with the right IEX resin, can significantly increase the proportion of full capsids – from 30% to 68%. At the same time, productivity improves, and resource consumption is reduced. Discover in this publication how MCSGP and MacroSep IEX Q can revolutionise your AAV purification.

MacroSep IEX Q

The purification of large biotherapeutics like AAVs often pushes conventional ion exchange resins to their limits – especially when high loading and efficient separation are required. YMC addresses this challenge with MacroSep IEX Q, a macro-porous anion exchange resin specifically developed for the purification of large biomolecules. Unlike traditional IEX materials, MacroSep IEX Q features a macro-porous structure that enables reliable separation of large particles such as viral vectors.
